I need help with special thank you card??
I had my baby shower on Saturday and there was one gift in particular that I wanted to give special thanks for. My ex-bf's supervisor gave us the playard, stroller, car seat, the swing set and a photo album for my daughter. He must have spent over $500. He doesn't have any kids, but has always wanted one, so he is really excited about our baby. I just can't find words to express my appreciation about all of the things he bought. I would like for him to feel part of the "family", but i guess my main question is: What can I say to get my point accross w/o sounding stupid? Any ideas are welcomed....
What a nice person he is! Wow. I would pick out a very nice card..one without the typical, benign greeting. Then, I would include a nice hand written note/letter. Tell him how much it meant to you, how much his friendship means and that you can't wait for your baby to meet "Uncle (his name)....". I bet he would just LOVE that! By purchasing those items, he seems like an extremely thoughtful person.
